What our customers say

This is what our customers have to say about the services we offer.

“I have found Bev and her LeadershipLab SA Team to have been hugely inspiring to work with. They have taken us on a transformation and leadership journey that has both challenged and supported us to think outside the box and act. This has all been done in a way that helped us apply the important concepts and tools that they taught us, to our leadership practice.”

Carmel Mbizvo , Head of Branch: Biodiversity Science and Policy Advice South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI)

When we first started an anti-racism action group within UNICEF’s Global Communications and Advocacy Team, we were passionate, but we knew we needed help. That’s where LeadershipLab SA’s deep knowledge and experience came in. From coaching, workshops and data analysis to check-ins on our mental health, Bev’s gone over and above in supporting the division’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts. Each of Bev’s initiatives were driven by a clear methodology, infectious enthusiasm and an iterative learning process. As we continue our journey, her foundational work gives us fuel for the road ahead”.

Samuel Waterton, Global Digital Specialist: UNICEF

There is a teaching in the Buddhist tradition that goes: “When the student is ready, the teacher appears.” Bev Witten and the LeadershipLab SA came to UNICEF at a time when our Division of Global Communication and Advocacy, and me personally, needed Bev’s unique brand of experienced thought leadership and mentorship to navigate important transformations in our ways of working and being. LeadershipLab took the time to understand our racially, culturally, and linguistically diverse Division and helped us fearlessly and authentically explore diversity and inclusion in a complex space. I would recommend Bev and this team without reservation”.

Mary Lynn (ML) Lalonde, Chief of Brand, Global Communication and Advocacy, UNICEF

“Working with LeadershipLab SA has been both a pleasure and a privilege. Embracing genuine transformation and diversity in South Africa. There is no better way to do this than the facilitation of safe mind and heart spaces that encourage honest and courageous conversations to build insight, compassion, and a renewed faith in our common humanity and shared purpose. Thank you Bev for bringing the gift of your passion, wisdom, insight and rigour to this very wounded area of human relations. I certainly would encourage more organisations and communities to engage with you and your LeadershipLab SA team.”

Tina Eboka, Group Managing Director, NTP Radiosotopes Soc LTD

“CIVICUS has found it immensely useful to work with LeadershipLab SA. The team has demonstrated a clear understanding of the intersectional nature of discrimination. Their work is notably infused with a critical Global South perspective.

Mandeep S. Tiwana, Chief Programmes Officer, CIVICUS

“LeadershipLab SA refuses to be captivated by easy slogans and quick business solutions to deeply human problems in a national context where the lively ghosts of our apartheid past continue to bedevil human relations and organisational capacity. How to lead in divided communities afflicted by the past? How leadership or, what is the leadership practice that is efficacious and sustainable in volatile contexts? These are among the deep questions that LeadershipLab SA considers across organisational contexts, and I am proud to be associated with this novel and much-needed innovation!”

Jonathan Jansen, Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. He is currently President of the South African Academy of Science and the Knight-Hennessey Fellow at Stanford University (2020).
